Our Technology and Expertise for Aerospace Cleanrooms
Mangini’s aerospace and defense cleanrooms are engineered to meet ESA, AS/EN 9100, and ISO 14644 quality standards. Seismic and fire safety certifications minimize production downtime while optimizing the overall energy efficiency of the facility.
Each Mangini cleanroom for aerospace and defense is developed through an integrated, modular approach that combines:
- HEPA and ULPA filtration for particle control down to 0.1 micron;
- Vertical and horizontal laminar airflow designed to minimize turbulence and maintain a stable environment;
- Continuous monitoring of temperature, humidity, and differential pressure via advanced BMS systems;
- Conductive and ESD-safe materials essential for protecting sensitive electronic and optical components.
Modular Solutions KYBOS® and KYBOS+
Mangini cleanrooms are built on the patented KYBOS® modular technology, a system that represents the state of the art for constructing controlled environments, including in the aerospace sector. Each component of the system is designed to ensure strength, thermal insulation, and precise environmental control, fully compliant with the stringent standards required.
The prefabricated steel/aluminum modular structure guarantees stability even in high-rise configurations, with customizable dimensions and panel thicknesses. Ducting and connections are fully integrated, while high-performance finishes provide ESD protection and compliance with GMP and aerospace-grade requirements, making them ideal for cleanrooms, testing laboratories, and advanced electronic environments.
The KYBOS+ version allows for the construction of cleanrooms up to 18 meters in height, fully self-supporting and free of internal columns. This configuration is perfect for satellite integration centers, aircraft structural assembly areas, or high-precision optical testing and calibration laboratories.
For all its cleanrooms, Mangini Group has developed certified seismic systems and technologies, tested on shake tables according to the ICC-ES AC-156 standard. This ensures the highest levels of safety and operational continuity in the event of an earthquake, protecting both personnel and production.
Turnkey Solutions: From Engineering to Implementation
Design, production, installation, and maintenance form a single operational workflow for Mangini’s turnkey cleanroom projects for aerospace and defense. The engineering and design phase is carried out in-house by our expert team, using 3D BIM tools to accurately model every detail and prevent system conflicts. Prefabricated modules are manufactured off-site at Mangini’s four production facilities across Italy, ensuring reliability, consistency, and high-quality standards.
During on-site installation, Mangini manages all activities as the sole technical point of contact, ensuring coordination, efficiency, and safety. Even after handover, our team oversees maintenance and post-installation services (“Day 2”) to guarantee long-term operational continuity.
